Thank you, phranx, thanks for tip about where to click by Quick Develop (I thought I might wear out my menu making it open and close as I tried different buttons on the keyboard to equal the right click). :)

David, thank you for the great tutorial! Try pressing the letter (F). In Adobe Photoshop Lightroom the F key controls the screen size. By default, Lightroom fits inside a window. Pressing F once makes that Window as big as possible. Pressing F again sends the program to "Full Screen Mode" which hides the menu bar and the Mac's dock. In this mode the program also hides the menu bar at the top of the screen. Pressing F again cycles back to window display.

However, LR3 isn't showing me the menu bar across the top: File, Edit, Photo, Metadata, etc. I need the bar, of course. Where is it, do you know? Thanks.

I just loaded LR3 on my new Macbook Pro. I’ve got LR 2.7 on a Dell and am comfortable with LR2. Glad you found the right place to right click for solo mode. It can be tricky to find and even harder to show in a video tutorial.

Instead, the new instructions say option click sets up solo mode without using any submenu.
Love your tutorials. Just going through them now and getting prepared before I use it. Great job!

Was trying to set up solo mode on LR3 but, my LR3, on a MAC, does not show a submenu when you right-click on a menu header. If I understand your question correctly then I think that you moved your images and / or your catalog. <a href="http://thelightroomlab.com/2009/05/how-to-get-your-lightroom-catalog-onto-an-external-hard-drive/" rel="nofollow"> Moving Lightroom's Catalog from drive to drive</a> should not cause your files to go "offline or missing." Moving the images, or the folders that contain them, though will always create this problem. Fortunately it is easy to solve and once reconnected everything should be fine. Our <a href="http://thelightroomlab.com/2010/11/using-the-find-missing-folders-command-in-adobe-photoshop-lightroom/" rel="nofollow">video on using the "Find Missing Folder"</a> command might help you solve this problem in just a few mouse clicks!
Best of luck and happy new year,
David Marx

Dear Venkat Santosh,

If I understand your question correctly then I think that you moved your images and / or your catalog. <a

I already had a large collection of images on an external hard drive. After reading about the catalog location, I changed the default location, and now I cannot locate the preview on LR. I get message that says image is missing or offline.
