Lightroom Installation Issues with Snow Leopard (Mac OS 10.6)
Reader Question: Help! I have been trying to upgrade lightroom 1.1 to version two however Adobe Photoshop Lightroom v.2 will not install on my imac. My mac is using the 10.6 (Snow Leopard) Operating System. Lightroom 1.1 installed without any problems when I was using Leopard (10.5). What’s wrong?
Answer: You cannot install Lightroom v2. on a Mac running the Snow Leopard Operating System (OS X 10.6) from the original CD but don’t panic! To solve this problem, you just need to download the latest version of Lightroom from Adobe and then everything should work fine.
This link should take you right to Adobe’s download page where you can find the most recent version of Lightroom.

interesting…looking for instructionals, and found myself here.
i just installed lightroom v2 on an imac running snow leopard without any problem and also ran the 2.5 update.
I have a MacBook Pro running snow leopard and I can’t get Lightroom 2 to install. It fails every time. Are you telling me that I have to buy it a second time just to get the updates that will allow it to install successfully?!
Keeran-
Did you go to the Adobe site and download the latest version of Lightroom? If so, is this the version that you tried to install?
You don’t need to buy Lightroom 2 again, you just need to get the newest version of the software, and once it is installed you may need to key in the serial number that came with your old Lightroom v2.0 CD.
Best of luck,
David
