Lightroom 2.3 and Adobe Camera Raw 5.3 Available
Adobe has released Lightroom version 2.3. This is a free update for users of Lightroom 2. Much of the functionality added or improved upon in this release were addressed in the Lightroom 2.3 Release Candidate, made available on January 27th.
To install the Lightroom update, choose Check for Updates… from the Help menu in Lightroom 2. The program will walk you through the installation from there. Optionally, you can download the update directly from Adobe.

The goal of this release is to address several bugs and provide additional camera raw support. A list of issues fixed in this release is included below:
Bugs – Fixed
- In the Windows 64-bit version of Lightroom an sFTP upload process could cause Lightroom to crash.
- Slideshows could return to the first image randomly during playback.
- A memory leak could cause Lightroom to crash while attempting to process files with local adjustments.
- Canon EOS 5D Mk II sRAW files could process with artifacts in Lightroom 2.2.
- Lightroom 2.2 could cause disc burning to fail for Windows customers.
- Attempting to undo (Ctrl-Z) a single step in Lightroom 2.2 on Windows could cause a series of previous actions to be undone.

- Nikon D3X
- Olympus E-30
To install the Camera Raw 5.3 update, you can choose Updates… from the Help menu in Photoshop CS4. Optionally, you can download the update directly from Adobe.
