Wildlife Up Close Photography Workshop – February 24-28
I’ll be teaching a photography workshop at the Triple D Game Farm in Kalispell, MT on February 24-28, 2009. This Shoot & Critique workshop, held in conjunction with Rocky Mountain School of Photography, is a unique opportunity to capture images of animals in their natural habitats, concentrate on advancing your wildlife photography skills and building your professional portfolio. At Triple D Game Farm, a wildlife center outside Glacier National Park, you are given the once-in-a-lifetime chance to photograph animals which may include bobcats, mountain lions, wolves and bears in a controlled environment. For over 30 years, Triple D has been caring for animals while providing a place for media outlets, including the BBC, National Geographic and Disney as well as individual photographers and filmmakers, thus ensuring a photographic opportunity that is safe for you and the animals alike.
This winter workshop is a special time to capture animals with beautiful winter coats and (hopefully) snowy backgrounds. We’ll talk about shooting techniques and equipment for wildlife photographers, as well as some post-processing using Lightroom or other workflows. Images will be critiqued daily, and I’ll be VERY available to help answer any questions you may have.
