Black Friday and Cyber Monday Specials

November 26, 2008 | Scott Rouse | Comments 1

You wouldn’t catch me dead in a bricks and mortar store this Friday. It’s not a well known fact, but…I don’t really like people.

That being said, what I do like is gear. Therefore, I’m taking a few minutes to share information about a few upcoming Black Friday and Cyber Monday sales. This is certainly not an exhaustive list, but rather a highlight a few retailers or special deals.

Apple

Apple Black Friday Sale

Apple is claiming they’ll have their biggest Black Friday event ever this year. It’s scheduled to be a one-day event on Friday, November 28th. The sales are available both online and in retail stores.

In other Apple retail news, according to some sources, Apple’s Retail Store managers have the authority to match competitors’ advertised prices, so you might give that a try if you live near an Apple Store.

Shop the Apple Online Store

If you’re looking for a good deal on Apple products, be sure to check out other retailers, as well. They can have great deals that meet or beat those found at the Apple Online Store.

Adobe

There are a few advertised specials at the Adobe Online Store. These offers are valid from November 25th until December 10th.

Amazon.com

Amazon Black Friday

My favorite online retailer is probably Amazon.com. The Official Amazon Black Friday Page highlights some of their deals, but there are tons of things to find on the site. (You can also view some of our recommendations on the Store Page of this site.)

Dell

Dell has quite a few deals going on, as well. As you probably know, I recommend a Mac as far as computers go, but I have been quite happy with Dell’s displays. Here are a couple other deals that can be found at the Dell Online Store:

As my good friend Mike used to say, “He who dies with the most gear, wins.”

Do you have some favorite online or…gasp…bricks and mortar retailers that you’ll be visiting this weekend? Looking for a specific product/deal? Need advice on which computer or display to buy? Let us know in the comments.

Hi Scott – I won’t be in-stores either (I appreciate my sleep, thankyouverymuch). However, for your readers, I have put together an extensive list of all the Cyber Monday sales (missed Adobe’s, d’oh):
