Adobe CS4 Announced Today
Adobe has officially announced the Creative Suite 4 and its exciting new features.
Of the most interest to us is Photoshop CS4, but Adobe announced important changes to all of the following programs:
- Photoshop CS4
- Flash CS4
- InDesign CS4
- Illustrator CS4
- Dreamweaver CS4
- Fireworks
- Contribute CS4
- Device Central CS4
- Soundbooth CS4
- After Effects CS4
- Premier CS4
- On Location CS4
- Encore CS4
- and more…
Photoshop CS4 takes advantage of new graphics processors available in recent computers for smoother panning, faster rendering, faster zooming, etc.
The layout of the panels looks like it has been greatly improved for more efficient workflow and workspaces.
Photoshop CS4 Extended has included advanced 3D functionality including the ability to manipulate 3D imagery, such as painting directly on 3D models and surfaces, merging 2-D files onto 3D images, and animating 3D objects.
For some more information on Photoshop CS4, you can check out the Adobe CS4 Learning Center from the National Association of Photoshop Professionals.

I have more to say, but little time to say it. I’ll be back with more information late tonight… It could be a late night!

Us poor Europeans will be seriously screwed over price-wise again… Same story all over again as with CS3. The upgrade for Creative Suite 4 Prem is more than quadruple the price (at current conversion rate) compared to the US version
Arno,
That really sucks. I had heard reference to that the other day. Four times the price!?!? Wow!
Got a bit overexcited. The difference between the US and European CS3 was over 4 times. The European CS4 version is “only” two times more expensive.
But yeah. It still sucks…
Yeah…still sucks.

Dreamweaver is my favorite, It makes frontpage look like WebEasy 2.0. I am looking forward to the update and new features.
I use Dreamweaver, as well. I had used the release candidate of Dreamweaver CS4 and was pretty happy with it.
